Looking Back at the Start of the Academic Year: a Happy September Focused on Integration and Inspiration
At Clermont School of Business, the start of the academic year is anything but ordinary. Throughout September, Happy September brought the School to life with a programme designed to kick off the year on a positive note, create opportunities for new encounters and set the tone for the new academic year!
Happy September: building connections from day one
Designed as a key moment for integration and student life, Happy September supports students as they take their first steps at the School, encourages new encounters and helps create a strong sense of community from the very beginning of the academic year.
Throughout the month, Clermont School of Business students were able to take part in a programme combining integration activities, student associations, Alumni events and inspiring encounters:
- The Student Associations and La Relève Fair, giving students the opportunity to discover student associations and their projects, and get involved in School life,
- An inspiring talk with Inoxtag, focusing on his journey, his entrepreneurial adventure and the Kaizen project,
- The Alumni x BDE Afterwork, creating opportunities for students, graduates and members of the Clermont SB community to connect,
- “Happy Break”, the traditional back-to-school breakfast, bringing everyone together in a friendly atmosphere and encouraging exchanges between students and School teams,
- The Integration Weekend, a key moment of team-building and discovery bringing this month of activities to a close.
This programme also serves an essential purpose: encouraging student engagement and openness by giving students the opportunity to meet different members of the Clermont School of Business community, discover student associations and initiatives, and draw inspiration from journeys and experiences that encourage them to reflect on their own futures.
This diversity of formats reflects a clear ambition: to make the start of the academic year much more than simply a return to classes, by offering students a collective, open and engaging experience from the very first weeks.
Inoxtag: a highlight of the new academic year
Among the key events of this year’s programme, Inoxtag’s visit was a major highlight for students. In front of a packed auditorium, Inoxtag spent almost two hours talking to students about his journey and entrepreneurial experience, as well as topics such as pushing yourself beyond your limits, difficulties and failures, the ability to bounce back and move forward, and the different stages involved in bringing a project to life.
Daring, bringing people together, turning ideas into reality: lessons from an extraordinary project
Beyond the sporting achievement, the event provided an opportunity to explore topics that directly resonate with the skills developed at the School: believing in your ideas and pursuing your ambitions, knowing how to surround yourself with a committed team, bringing people together around a shared objective and building the partnerships needed to bring a project to life.
The choice of Inoxtag was no coincidence. Inviting highly recognised personalities is part of the School’s ambition to offer students encounters that reflect the world around them and connect with the School’s values, programmes and commitments. Through their journeys, these new figures in the economy and influence also provide a concrete way of exploring issues related to strategy, entrepreneurship, content creation, brand building and community development.
Beyond Inoxtag’s journey, students were able to discover what goes on behind the scenes of an extraordinary project and the many stages required to bring it to fruition. This type of encounter introduces students to personalities who resonate with their interests and everyday lives, while opening up new perspectives. These are experiences that speak to them, inspire them and encourage them to broaden their outlook, deepen their thinking and consider their own professional future in more concrete terms.
Encounters that broaden horizons
Beyond their ability to bring the community together, these events also contribute to the visibility of Clermont School of Business. By bringing personalities to Clermont whose recognition extends beyond the academic world, the School asserts its identity as a Grande École and offers distinctive experiences that reflect the world around us.
These invitations are not simply opportunities for visibility, however: they are carefully selected for their relevance to the School’s programmes, areas of expertise and commitments. HugoDécrypte’s visit accompanied the launch of the specialisation in journalism, while Inoxtag provided an opportunity to explore entrepreneurship, daring and the development of a project.
These encounters complement talks by experts, researchers and business leaders by offering different perspectives on the transformations taking place in the economy and society. They are an integral part of the experience offered to students, providing opportunities to discover new journeys, broaden their outlook and deepen their thinking.
From Inspiration to Action with SquareLab
For students who want to take their ambitions further and embark on an entrepreneurial journey, Clermont School of Business offers the support of its open incubator, SquareLab. Located at the heart of the School, it helps aspiring entrepreneurs structure and develop their ideas. Through proven methods, tailored tools, workshops, mentoring and personalised coaching, SquareLab enables students to test their concepts, refine their business models and progress through the various stages of setting up a company. This support helps transform the desire to become an entrepreneur into a well-developed project, drawing on the expertise and network of the School’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Did you know?
At Clermont School of Business, the student experience extends far beyond the classroom. It is also shaped by encounters, collective projects, involvement in student associations and experiences that enable each student to get to know themselves better and gradually find their place.
Happy September brings this belief to life from the very first weeks of the academic year: educating is also about creating an environment in which students can experiment, share, take initiatives and open themselves up to different journeys.
By incorporating these encounters into its programme, the School is therefore pursuing a clear ambition: to offer a strong, distinctive and memorable student experience, in keeping with its DNA and REVEAL promise. An experience that combines the quality of its programmes with encounters, discoveries and opportunities that enable everyone to broaden their horizons.
A way of bringing the School’s values to life in concrete terms — engagement, sharing, attentiveness and agility — while supporting each student as they build their own path.
