Everything you need to know about the apprenticeship – work-study program at Clermont School of Business

The School has made work-study one of its strategic development axes, as it meets the primary challenges of Grande Ecole training, which are excellence, social mobility and of course professional integration.

Students initially join the School via a competitive examination and are selected on the basis of criteria combining know-how and interpersonal skills. They come from a variety of backgrounds: preparatory classes, BTS, DUT, Bachelor’s degree, engineering schools, etc.

Students participating in work-study programs will receive an operational training program in line with market needs as well as significant experience in a company. Each student will have a tutor in the school to support them and act as a partner of the company in this three-way work-study contract.

The work-study program enables you, as a company, to test and validate your trainee’s adaptability and commitment, and to train them according to your own practices… For you, it is a real pre-recruitment pool, very secure and supervised !

The work-study program can be undertaken one of two legal formats:
  • An apprenticeship contract, in partnership with FormaSup Auvergne
  • A professional training contract.

Supervision

Our students and their companies will benefit from a support system within the framework of the work-study program, and particular attention will be paid to the following aspects:

  • The suitability between the content of the assignments, the specific expectations of the company and the student’s professional project
  • Pedagogical monitoring based on tripartite meetings student/teacher/tutor/company) recorded in the work-study booklet (online) which includes:
    • Bipartite activity reports between the company tutor and the student,
    • The minutes of the compulsory annual tripartite meetings with the School tutor,
    • The evaluation form filled in halfway through the course and at the end of the assignment.

My work-study program at CAPILLUM is very rewarding. It’s a start-up that is experiencing extremely promising beginnings and in which I can evolve. It’s very motivating to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to their company’s ethos, motivated by innovation and contribution to change. In addition, the work-study program is highly stimulating, and it is a perfect compromise between studies and working life.
