Clermont School of Business together with the University of Clermont Auvergne (IAE Auvergne – UCA) is a co-supervisor and co-founder of “CleRMa”, a joint research laboratory in Management Sciences (originally created under the name CRCGM in 2008 and renamed Clermont Recherche Management or CleRMa, in November 2018). It is labelled as a host team, EA 3849, and brings together teacher-researchers in management sciences in the city of Clermont. In concrete terms, it is the main research laboratory in management sciences for the school’s teacher-researchers. It has 140 members, including more than 70 teacher-researchers (19 of whom are qualified to direct research) and 40 PhD students.
This area studies the profound transformations that companies and employees are facing in the new context of the knowledge economy and permanent innovation.
It is composed of three teams:
Organisations, whatever their status, size or sector of activity, develop strategies of collaboration, cooperation or coopetition. These strategies result in the interaction of multiple actors (private, public, associations) which transform their practices and the ecosystems in which they evolve. They contribute to the dynamics of the territories and the reconfiguration of the networks in which they are established.
The STeRA (Strategy, Territory and Networks of Actors) axis proposes to update the mechanisms of these phenomena through multidisciplinary approaches mobilising theoretical frameworks from strategy, public management, logistics or marketing. A particular focus on the management of health and the corresponding organisations characterises this axis, which is supported by the Health and Territories Chair.
This axis questions the power and information links that connect corporate governance to its shareholders and its environment in the broadest sense.
It thus includes two research programmes:

The “Open Lab” Exploration & Innovation Unit carries out research to help organizations adjust their management systems, stay competitive and keep up with the demands of the environment.
