Clermont SB makes free period products available on campus
Since the start of the 2026 academic year, a dispenser providing free period products has been available to students at Clermont School of Business. Introduced in partnership with Marguerite & Cie, the initiative follows a request from student representatives on the Student Advisory Board and forms part of the School’s ongoing efforts to improve student life on campus.
Free period products accessible to all
Since the start of the 2026 academic year, students at Clermont School of Business have been able to access free period products through a dispenser installed on the Clermont-Ferrand campus.
Introduced in partnership with Marguerite & Cie, the dispenser provides period products made from natural, plastic-free materials, reflecting a commitment to health, solidarity and environmental responsibility.
By making these essential products freely available, the School aims to address a practical need and help tackle period poverty, which can present an additional challenge in students’ everyday lives.
An initiative driven by student feedback
The installation of the dispenser follows a request put forward by student representatives on the Student Advisory Board (SAB), Clermont School of Business’s student advisory body.
The Board brings together representatives from different academic programmes, student societies and the School’s management. Its purpose is to encourage regular dialogue between students, academic staff and administrative teams, with a view to improving the learning environment and campus life.
Through the Board, students can share their experiences, raise concerns and suggest improvements. The issues discussed are then followed up with the School’s management, which considers the measures that could be implemented.
The installation of the period product dispenser demonstrates how student suggestions can lead to practical improvements on campus.
The project was also partly funded through the Student and Campus Life Contribution (CVEC)*, which helps finance initiatives designed to enhance the student experience.
Did you know?
Student wellbeing and environmental responsibility are integral to the School’s commitments. In keeping with its mission to educate future changemakers who place people and the planet at the heart of their decisions, Clermont SB strives to provide a learning environment in which students can thrive.
This commitment is reflected in the continuous improvement of campus facilities, active engagement with the student community and initiatives promoting inclusion, solidarity and quality of life on campus.
These actions also form part of the School’s Socio-Ecological Transition (TSE) strategy, structured around three pillars: Protect, aimed at reducing its environmental impact; Impact, focused on contributing to positive societal change; and Nurture, dedicated to supporting its community and promoting equal opportunities.
Together, these commitments reflect an approach that combines a positive student experience with environmental responsibility.
*The CVEC (Student and Campus Life Contribution) is a mandatory contribution paid by students when enrolling in French higher education institutions, unless they qualify for an exemption. It helps fund initiatives aimed at improving students’ living and learning conditions, particularly in areas such as health, wellbeing, sport and culture.
