Combine Leadership, Performance and Agility with our MSc – Master of Science in Project Management

This one-year programme*, taught entirely in English, is designed to train experts capable of managing complex projects in constantly evolving national and international environments.

Designed for candidates wishing to develop expertise in project management, team leadership and strategic communication, this MSc – Master of Science is open to applicants holding either a four-year Bachelor’s degree, a Master’s degree (240 ECTS – equivalent to four years of higher education), or an equivalent qualification.

The programme prepares students for internationally recognised certifications from the Project Management Institute (PMI), as well as Lean Management and Agile (Scrum) frameworks, which are now essential across organisations.

Its objective is to train managers capable of structuring, planning and delivering high value-added projects, balancing performance, risk management and stakeholder engagement.

*The programme includes one academic year, a 4- to 6-month internship and the completion of a Master’s thesis.

Founded in 1919, Clermont School of Business holds triple accreditation:

Programme Objectives

Upon completion of the programme, graduates are able to:

  • Design and manage strategic projects in complex environments
  • Lead multicultural and multidisciplinary teams
  • Apply international standards from the Project Management Institute (PMI)
  • Integrate Agile and Lean methodologies into project delivery
  • Manage risks, budgets and overall project performance

In one year, you will…

…develop comprehensive expertise in project management, combining methodologies, tools and leadership. You will:

  • Master the key concepts, methods and tools required to plan, execute and control projects within time, cost and quality constraints
  • Develop strong project leadership skills, combining business, technical and interpersonal competencies (communication, negotiation, stakeholder management)
  • Apply PMI standards (PMBOK framework)
  • Compare and mobilise different methodological approaches (Waterfall, Agile or hybrid) to select the most appropriate for each project context
  • Integrate Lean principles and Agile methods (Scrum) as key drivers of performance and flexibility
  • Use digital tools for project management, collaboration and performance tracking
  • Manage both academic and real-life projects, coached by certified professionals
  • Prepare for internationally recognised professional certifications, including a complimentary PMI membership and access to its resources

A 4- to 6-Month Internship

As part of the programme, students complete a professional placement lasting a minimum of four months, in France or internationally.

This immersion allows them to apply academic knowledge to real-world contexts, contribute to concrete projects and develop an operational approach to their specialisation.

Beyond technical skills, this experience fosters autonomy, adaptability and a strong understanding of strategic business challenges. It is a key driver of employability and international network development.

Master’s Thesis

Alongside their professional placement, students complete a Master’s thesis under individual academic supervision.

This in-depth analytical work, based on a real-world issue, culminates in an oral defence before an academic panel and an evaluation linked to the host organisation.

How to Apply

 

The MSc – Master of Science in Project Management is accessible through an application and interview.

It is open to candidates with a minimum of four years of higher education (Bachelor/BBA or Master 1), particularly from backgrounds in:

  • Scientific disciplines

⚠ Required English level: TOEFL 550 / TOEIC 750 / IELTS 6.0 (or equivalent)

* Tuition fees do not include living expenses in France or abroad related to academic activities, internships or international mobility. A contribution is also required for the integration weekend.
