1 programme = 2 Master’s Degrees

Accessible after 3 years of higher education, this two-year programme (Master 1, Master 2) is designed for those who wish to develop high-level management skills while specialising to build a distinctive, differentiating profile.

The Master in Management (Grande École Programme) at Clermont School of Business enables students to obtain:

  • Our Flagship Master’s Degree: The Programme Grande Ecole, a five-year state-recognised degree (Grade de Master) awarded by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research, and listed on the RNCP (National Register of Professional Certifications) at Level 7, No. 36567, under the title Diplôme Grande École.
  • A specialist Institutional Master’s: A Degree in your Chosen Field of Expertise, awarded by Clermont School of Business, providing key skills directly aligned with contemporary business challenges. From Master 1, students choose one of eight professionnel tracks and then deepen their expertise with an advanced specialisation in their 2nd year of Master’s.

More than a springboard to a first job, the Grande École Programme at Clermont SB—triple-accredited (AACSB, AMBA, EFMD Bachelor), a member of the CGE and CDEFM, and an associate member of the Université Clermont Auvergne (UCA) Alliance—is a lasting passport to success and fulfilment throughout your career.

Two study formats are available: a classic track or work-study (apprenticeship) for 12 or 24 months, allowing you to tailor the experience to your professional goals. The programme also offers extensive international opportunities via gap years, academic exchanges, or double degrees with partner universities.

Objectives

Societal, ethical, and environmental issues are embedded at the heart of the programme through modules dedicated to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Humanities & Social Sciences (HSS). This approach helps students develop a global perspective on their future role in the economy and in society.

In parallel, the Master in Management at Clermont SB is co-designed with our local, national, and international ecosystem. This co-construction ensures specialisations that combine purpose and relevance, aligned with the concrete, evolving needs of businesses in France and worldwide.

The objective is twofold: to train managers able to step back with a global, critical, and innovative vision, and to master sharp operational skills in a key field, in line with real market expectations.

In two years, students will have:

  • Earned two degrees (the Programme Grande Ecole degree + the Clermont School of Business specialisation diploma) and built their skills e-portfolio.
  • Acquired a solid academic foundation, covering the essentials for any future manager.
  • Developed a responsible, human-centred view of management through modules in CSR and HSS.
  • Converted theory into impactful practice thanks to the Scale’UP pedagogy.
  • Had the opportunity to validate an international double degree or study for a semester at an international partner.

Action-driven, responsible pedagogy

Master 1 – Skills consolidation and choice of professional track (60 ECTS)

Alongside specialisation courses, students follow a common core including foreign languages (L1, L2, intercultural awareness), key skills & methodology (digital tools, project management, AI, building the e-portfolio), as well as further grounding in HSS and CSR.

They then select one of eight career tracks to explore a specific field of expertise:

  • Finance (available in english)
  • Performance Management
  • Business Development, Entrepreneurship & Innovation
  • Strategy, Innovation & Sustainability
  • Marketing (available in english)
  • 360° Business Management (available in english)
  • International Business (available in english)
  • Human Resources

During the first Master’s year, students can complete a three-month internship.

Scale’UP pedagogy: two long-term projects, directly linked to the chosen career track, put learning into immediate practice.

Master 2 – Advanced specialisation (60 ECTS)

In the final year, the common core is intentionally lighter to allow more time for research methods (quantitative and qualitative) and for an advanced specialisation—a springboard to strategic and professional expertise.

Students choose an advanced specialisation linked to their Master 1 career track:

  • Finance – Financial Engineering & Fintech (available in english) – Financial Engineering & Sustainable Finance – Market Finance
  • Performance Management – Audit & Management Control
  • Business Development, Entrepreneurship & Innovation – Business Development & Growth Marketing – Sales Leadership & Management – Entrepreneurship & Sustainable Innovation
  • Strategy, Innovation & Sustainability – Sustainable Transformation of Organisations
  • Marketing – Product Innovation & Data Marketing – Digital Marketing & Communications (available in English) – Design, Luxury & Creativity
  • 360° Business Management – Project Management – Business Intelligence & Analytics (available in English)
  • International Business – Global Business Strategy & Responsibility (available in English) – Procurement & Supply Chain (available in English) – Tourism & Hospitality Management (available exclusively on the Marrakech campus)
  • Human Resources – HR Development, People Management & Change Support

During the second Master’s year, students can complete a three-month internship.

Scale’UP pedagogy: two further long-term projects, tied to the advanced specialisation, to apply learning in a concrete way.

Spotlight on the Skills e-Portfolio

Throughout the Grande École journey, students build a skills e-portfolio—a genuine passport for the future.

Enriched year after year by projects, learning, and experiences, this tool becomes a showcase for their academic and professional achievements, helping them evidence their skills and strengthen their employability.

Pedagogy

Clermont School of Business’s Scale’UP pedagogy offers a unique, progressive approach that turns theory into concrete, high-impact experience.

From the first year, students develop competences through long-term projects directly tied to their chosen track. Step by step, these projects enable them to acquire competency blocks aligned with their pathway, ambitions, and the realities of the labour market. They consolidate their professional identity while developing essential transversal skills: methodology, critical thinking, project management, and communication.

Collaborative work around these projects helps them build bridges between disciplines and give learning meaning, mirroring real-world business conditions.

With Scale’UP, students shift gears in their learning: they gain perspective, sharpen their analysis, and move beyond their comfort zone—reaching decisive milestones, accelerating their skills development, and building real capacity for action.

Audit & Accountancy Pathway – 24 months of specialization (available only in French)

Clermont School of Business’s Audit & Accountancy pathway prepares high-responsibility profiles for careers in accounting and finance. Spanning 24 months (one year in the classic format followed by one year of work-study), it offers an elite route to acquiring the technical and managerial competences expected in these fields.

Delivered for over 10 years, this pathway provides strong preparation for the DSCG, with equivalency for 5 out of 7 units—a rare advantage. Students are also prepared for DSCG units 1 and 4, ensuring comprehensive, professional upskilling.

Year or semester abroad

Up to 25 months of international experience

The School develops academic and professional partnerships with institutions and companies worldwide. Within the Grande École Programme, students may go abroad every year, gaining enhanced recognition on the global job market. They develop new skills, broaden their horizons, and strengthen both cultural and professional openness.

Focus on double degrees

In Master 2, students can spend one year at one of 18 partner universities, choosing from 45 options in key specialisation areas such as Management, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Entrepreneurship, and more.
Highly targeted sectors—such as Fashion Management, Leadership, Energy Management, or Real Estate Management—are also available.

Which campus? Which specialisation?

Comprehensive career support to boost your employability

CareerLab: fast-tracking your path to employment

The CareerLab team supports students with internship and work-study searches and helps you build your professional project: coaching, CVs, video resources, job board, LinkedIn profile.

Through a comprehensive pathway, students learn to know themselves better, develop numerous soft skills, define their career objectives, and decode the job market with expert guidance.

Forums, job-dating, employer meet-ups, immersions—numerous career events help students explore roles, sectors, and companies (national and local) and build a robust search strategy.

Internships & work-study to power up your CV

Professional experience is decisive when searching for a first job. At Clermont School of Business, our pathways help you maximise your time in the workplace.

If you do not choose work-study, you can still gain significant professional experience through internships:

  • Master 1: up to 3 months
  • Master 2: up to 6 months

Work-study: 12 or 24 months

Work-study alternates periods of academic study with in-company experience. It offers two major advantages: helping to finance some or all of your studies while you gain substantial professional experience. You learn and apply your knowledge simultaneously, develop a degree of financial independence, and, in many cases, secure a permanent contract even before graduation.

Apprenticeships are delivered in partnership with FormaSup Auvergne.
