Equal Opportunities

Home Equal opportunities

Founding member of Passerelle Ascenseur social and Passerelle Handicap actions

Clermont School of Business has historically been committed to a policy of promoting diversity and social openness, to seek out all talents, wherever they are and whatever their expression, particularly if they are faced with economic or social constraints that may be linked to social openness and/or disability.

Its action is organised around the following three areas:

  • access to training,
  • support during the training programme
  • and professional integration

This policy is also supported by the work of the Clermont School of Business Foundation.

Parcours d’Excellence

Launched by the French Ministry of Education in 2016 and relayed by the local education authorities, this scheme aims to identify volunteer schoolchildren from modest backgrounds in order to get them involved in social and cultural outreach activities as well as discovering the world of work.

Clermont School of Business is involved in this scheme in which the Baudelaire college is officially a source college. In addition, Cordée Alizé also interacts with the colleges La Charme (IUT source college) and Jeanne d’Arc.

Cordées de la réussite

Under an agreement with the Clermont Rectorate as part of a national academic system, our priority is to support high school students from the Ministry of Urban Affairs (Priority Education Zones, ZEP+…), on state scholarships, in social difficulty and/or with disabilities, in order to show them that higher education is accessible to them through the provision of tutoring, guidance, discovery of the world of work and business and cultural openness. The Groupe ESC Clermont-Auvergne is the head of the “Alizé” team in partnership with the IUT GEA in Clermont-Ferrand. The two establishments have Sidoine Apollinaire and Amédée Gasquet as their high school-source schools.

Article 1

In partnership with this national association labelled “La France s’engage” (“most innovative and socially useful projects”), we support our Bachelor and Master students from working class backgrounds, in particular through individual tutoring by executives from companies that are members of the Article 1 network. This system revolves around the organisation of individual tutoring and the organisation of events (e.g. the Clermont stage of the Tour de France Assertiveness Tour).

Accompaniment during training courses

Our policy of social openness is thus based on several methods of direct or indirect financial aid provided by the Clermont School of Business Foundation. The aim is to enable students with potential, and whose economic situation is precarious, to finance their course of study in the best possible conditions.

Direct aid:

  • Bourses de la Fondation
  • Bourse Morad MOUSLI, awarded to a 1st year PGE pupil for his or her meritorious career path.
  • Fonds de réserve d’urgence, in the event of unforeseen events for certain pupils.
  • Prêts à taux zéro, in partnership with three regional banks.
  • Bourses exceptionnelles d’entreprises partenaires
  • Bourses de la Fondation Lambert (partenaire national des Ecoles de commerce)

This aid is granted under certain conditions, in particular on social and academic criteria.

In addition to staggering the payment of school fees over the school year (quarterly payment), special conditions are granted depending on the pupil’s family situation.

Indirect aid:

Help for students in difficulty to find part-time jobs in partner companies.

Recruitment of our own students for missions within our services.
