I speak 4 languages. I love to travel, I think it is very enriching to discover other cultures, other ways of seeing things. After my Bac S in the European section of English, I really wanted to be able to use this asset in my higher education studies. I joined the Bachelor's programme in the "all in English" class. I would like to do an internship in England. It is also there, in Nottigham, that I plan to do my double degree year. For next year, I would like to specialise in Finance.

By spending potentially up to 20 months abroad over the course of the programme, in studies and internships, any student who joins this programme is expected to be able to continue their studies or work abroad.

Discover another world when you study abroad

In the webseries “Va voir ailleurs si j’étudie” Jessica, a graduate of Clermont School of Business and travel blogger with her Youtube channel “Mes ptits bouts du monde” (My little bits of the world), reveals the daily life of Clermont School of Business students who have gone abroad for a double degree.

Professionalisation

The business world through teaching

From the very first day, students of the Bachelor in International Management discover the world of business, through projects and simulations. Supervised by professors and professionals, they usually work in groups and participate in challenges and business games, or solve real problems proposed by companies.

IN THE FIRST YEAR

  • Challenge Business Game: an immersion in a world simulating marketing decisions related to the marketing of consumer products.
  • Challenge Compet’ Agences: a day on a real company’s communication problem. They are formed into agencies and must deliver at the end of the day a graphic proposal and a video that meet the advertiser’s brief.
  • The Corporate Social Responsibility Project (CSR): a long term project with a concrete subject entrusted by an association or an NGO.

IN THE SECOND YEAR

  • Les Négociales: the largest French-speaking competition dedicated to commercial negotiation, based on role-playing with professionals
  • The Business Development Project (or New Business Project – PNB): a year-long support for project leaders who entrust our students with their business launch projects. An example below with Oreline.

IN THE 3RD YEAR ON An APPRENTICESHIP TRACK

Learning by doing projects in each specialisation:

  • Transversal digital project (building a digital strategy),
  • Field experimentation (analysis and reflection based on real commercial data provided by the store and interaction with managers),
  • Experimental classroom (a complete department subjected to construction and deconstruction on shelves designed in the classroom),
  • Flipped classroom (to make the student the actor of his own learning and to allow him to build his skills in situations close to reality)…

Learning By Doing : Les coulisses du retail – Auchan

7 MONTHS OF INTERNSHIP AND UP TO 19 MONTHS OF EXPERIENCE

Internships form an essential part of the study curriculum at the Business School. Students can carry out an internship in France or abroad. Students carry out a 2-month internship in the first year and a 5-month internship in their second year. Therefore, by the end of the programme, each student acquires a minimum of 7 months of work experience. Students also have the possibility to do an optional internship in the third and final year of the Bachelor programme.

The aim of the internships:

  • Provide our young graduates with professional experience during their Bachelor studies.
  • Acquire new skills while developing existing ones.
  • Bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and best professional practices.
  • Gain added value that is attractive for companies who are looking for experienced candidates.

To elaborate, the first 2 years, students in the Bachelor in International Management programme have compulsory work experience (internships) in France or abroad:

  • in the 1st year (June to August): 2 to 3 months to discover the company and its professions
  • in the 2nd year (April to August): 5 months to carry out concrete assignments
  • In the 3rd year, students who wish to consolidate their professional project and move towards a 3-year degree can opt for the 100% apprenticeship track taught only in French
