Clermont School of Business inaugurates its Shanghai campus and strengthens its expansion in China

To meet the ambitions of its strategic plan REVEAL 22-27, Clermont School of Business takes another major step in its international development with the official opening of its Shanghai campus. After Beijing, the School strengthens its presence in Asia and confirms its commitment to training managers capable of meeting the challenges of a globalized world by multiplying opportunities for academic and professional mobility.

Present in China for several years through its locations in Beijing and Zhuhai, Clermont School of Business has chosen to reorganize its structure in order to improve clarity and efficiency. Zhuhai now becomes a partner campus, while Shanghai hosts the School’s new fully owned campus in China, operated entirely by its teams.

A fully owned campus, a showcase of academic excellence

For the October 2025 intake, nearly 100 students joined the site, located in the heart of the Minhang district. Two intakes will be organized each year, in October and February, with the ambitious goal of hosting 1,000 students within four years.

Covering 1,000 m², the campus offers modern facilities tailored to both academic and professional needs: three interactive classrooms, a seminar room with translation systems, a cafeteria, a library, and a shared auditorium. Perfectly connected to the metro and to Hongqiao International Airport, it enjoys a dynamic and international urban environment.

This new site is much more than a place of learning: it is a true strategic anchor point, offering a dynamic, connected environment conducive to exchanges between students and professionals.

Programs tailored to the Asian market

The Shanghai campus launches with two strategic programs:

  • the MBA, designed for professionals wishing to move into leadership positions or start a business,
  • the DBA, for graduates with a master’s degree and experienced executives, oriented toward research, consulting, and higher education.

These programs combine the academic rigor of Clermont School of Business with strong international openness. They are delivered by faculty from the School as well as professors from prestigious nearby universities such as Fudan University and Jiao Tong University.

Starting in 2025/2026, the offering will be expanded to include summer schools and 1+3 and 2+2 pathways, encouraging double degrees and academic bridges between China and France. The goal is clear: to provide innovative programs that meet the needs of the Asian market while strengthening the School’s international reputation.

A strategic anchor point for Franco-Chinese cooperation

Beyond its academic role, the Shanghai campus acts as a true strategic hub. It coordinates the School’s activities in China, brings together institutional and economic partners, and enhances the visibility of its development.

This project continues the momentum launched in 2022 with the official recognition by the Chinese Ministry of Education of the MSc in Business Intelligence & Analytics offered in Beijing. Shanghai strengthens this legitimacy and increases Clermont School of Business’s visibility in Asia.

The opening of our Shanghai campus marks a decisive step in the internationalization of our School. It allows us to strengthen our ties with our Chinese partners while guaranteeing the academic and educational quality for which we are known.

A project supported by an Alumni network and international openness

The development of the campus also relies on an Alumni network already well established in China. Many graduates now hold leadership positions there and actively support students, facilitating their professional integration and the connection between the academic and business worlds.

The Shanghai site also reflects a commitment to social and cultural openness. It welcomes both Chinese and international students and develops academic partnerships to promote double degrees, intercultural exchanges, and access to pre-bachelor programs.
