Clermont School of Business earns BREEAM "Very Good" certification

Clermont School of Business reaches a symbolic milestone in its ecological transition. The Trudaine XL campus, inaugurated in September 2024, has just been awarded the BREEAM International New Construction 2016 certification with a score of 57.4%, corresponding to the “Very Good” level. This recognition highlights the School’s strong commitment to environmental responsibility.

A key milestone in the REVEAL 22–27 strategic plan

When inaugurating its new Trudaine XL campus in autumn 2024, Clermont School of Business made no secret of its ambition: to create an exemplary educational space in terms of environmental responsibility.

This ambition has now been realized with the awarding of BREEAM certification, a global benchmark for assessing the environmental performance of buildings. Granted on April 10, 2025, this label reflects a deep, committed, and rigorous approach.

The achievement of this certification is fully aligned with the REVEAL 22–27 strategic plan, which notably aims to reduce the School’s environmental footprint and promote more sustainable practices, both in infrastructure and in academic initiatives. This comprehensive approach reflects the School’s ambition to combine academic excellence with positive impact.

A demanding assessment across 10 criteria

BREEAM certification is based on a rigorous framework of ten criteria, including energy management, occupant health and well-being, building materials, water usage, pollution levels, and waste management.

The Trudaine XL campus performed particularly well in areas such as energy efficiency, sustainable mobility, and project governance.

This label is a source of pride for our School. It brings our vision of an open, responsible, and locally anchored campus to life. We will continue to invest in making our working environment a lever for positive impact—for our students and for society.
