When the World Becomes a Campus: a Student Community More International Than Ever

This year, Clermont School of Business welcomes over 520 new international students, bringing the total number of students from around the world to 786. These new comers have joined the Bachelor, Master in Management (Grande École Programme), and MSc – Master of Science courses, representing nearly 60 nationalities. A figure that reflects the vitality of our international recruitment and confirms the School’s growing position on the global stage.

A Campus that Reflects the World

In our classrooms, cultures meet, languages blend, and experiences are shared. This diversity – a true source of everyday enrichment – embodies the philosophy of Clermont School of Business: learning to think globally as well as act locally.

This year, the countries most represented among our international students are:

  • Morocco (36%)
  • India (10%)
  • China (7%)
  • Cameroon (6%)
  • Côte d’Ivoire (6%)

The 2025 academic year has also seen the arrival of students from countries previously less represented on our Clermont campus: Chile, Georgia, Ireland, Kosovo, Oman, and Slovakia.

Each of these new voices further enhances the Clermont SB community and strengthens its international outlook.

An Outstanding Welcome Experience

Labelled “Bienvenue en France” since 2023, Clermont School of Business has been recognised by Campus France for the quality of its support and services dedicated to international students. This distinction highlights the School’s continued commitment to providing the best possible conditions for welcoming and integrating its international community.

Among the many initiatives introduced during the first weeks of the academic year:

  • A major orientation quiz, held over four sessions, with prizes awarded to the top three participants in each round (12 winners in total).
  • The Welcome Party, organised on 7 October by the International Student Community (ISC) – a warm, festive evening dedicated to integration and connection.
  • An international photo contest will invite new students to share their vision of Clermont, and the photo with the most “likes” on the School’s international Facebook page will win a prize.

Clermont School of Business also highlights and supports local initiatives led by the City of Clermont-Ferrand to welcome international students. As part of ‘Clermont fête ses étudiants’, the ‘Nuit des Étudiants’ du Monde’, held on 9 October at the Town Hall, brought together the city’s international community for an evening of entertainment and a cocktail reception – a friendly, intercultural celebration.

Together, the School and the City help make Clermont a place of learning and living where every international student truly belongs.
