Students with Disabilities

Home Tailor-Made Courses - Students with Disabilities

Students with disabilities, you are welcome!

Disability is a new issue in higher education establishments. We are committed to the RFI process (Recruitment-Formation-Insertion professionnelle [Recruitment-Training-Professional insertion]):

Recruitment: support for disabled secondary school students with a goal to create ambition for further study;

Integration: welcome to the campus and regular support from the campus’s representative for disabled people;

Professional insertion: preparation for the job market and integration into a company.

The H+ Training Approach

Since April 25, 2024, Clermont School of Business has been committed to welcoming people with disabilities, whether visible or invisible. The purpose of the H+ Training approach is to make professional training accessible to people with disabilities. H+ Training is a quality approach to welcoming and supporting people with disabilities in training, created by the Region in partnership with Agefiph.

Introduction and Awareness:

During the integration period at the School, the Social Inclusion & Equal Opportunities Coordinator and Disability Liaison Officer introduce themselves to the students and inform them about:

  • The social inclusion and equal opportunities policy of Clermont School of Business
  • The procedure to declare and disclose a disability
  • Possible academic accommodations and support
  • Contacts to reach out to in case of need

6 steps to declare and take into account a disability

1- Declare a Disability

Declare a Disability

2- Introduction at the School

At the beginning of the academic year, the School’s Disability Liaison Officer introduces themselves to the students and provides all the necessary information on accommodations and support for students with disabilities (ESH) at the School.

3- Schedule an Appointment with the Student Disability Liaison Officer

A confidential initial interview is arranged between the Student Disability Liaison Officer and each identified student with a disability to define the necessary support and accommodations.

4- Provide Documentation

An official and confidential document for academic accommodations (medical certificate, PAI/PAP/PPS) is provided to the School’s Disability Liaison Officer by the University Health Service (SSU) through the Directorate of Studies.

5- Implement Accommodation Protocol

The academic accommodations are confirmed by sending an email to the student with a disability specifying the agreed accommodations. This email is also forwarded to the Program Directorate for informing professors if desired by the student with a disability.

6- Follow-up Meetings with the School’s Disability Liaison Officer

The School’s Disability Liaison Officer meets with the student with a disability at the beginning of their course and conducts confidential follow-up meetings to ensure effective implementation of the accommodation protocol. In case of changes, needs will be reassessed upon request.

Good to know

Is it necessary to declare your disability each academic year?

NO, only one declaration is required.

All accommodations are automatically taken care of and follow the student throughout their studies at Clermont School of Business, unless there is a reassessment of their needs.

Justine témoigne sur son expérience à Clermont School of Business

My name is Justine, and as you can see, I’m not an ordinary student. Well, actually, I am, because I attend the same classes, with the same professors, and under the same conditions as all my classmates. Clermont School of Business has met my needs, and I know the School will meet yours depending on your disability.

At Clermont School of Business, diversity, adaptable programs, and the special attention given to each student’s needs provide interesting social openness and equal opportunities…

Justine Student in Master in Management (PGE) ’’ Created with Sketch.

…The professors and all the staff at the School are committed and dedicated to facilitating my studies and ensuring a rich and fulfilling student life. I was able to meet the Student Disability Coordinator at Clermont School of Business to set up all the necessary accommodations for my successful progression as a student. I also integrated into the Admissions Staff 2021 as an intern, becoming part of all the other students engaged in an associative experience.

At Clermont School of Business, disability is not a handicap: it won’t be an obstacle to success because all conditions will be met for you to become part of this wonderful family!“
