International accrediations and labels

Home International accrediations and labels

AACSB / AMBA / EFMD Bachelor

Clermont School of Business is one of the 24 French Grandes Ecoles of Management with three international accreditations.

After AACSB in 2006, EFMD Bachelor in 2019, AMBA, received in 2020, is the third accreditation held by our School, the last two following one another at 12 month intervals.

Clermont School of Business is AACSB accredited

The American association AACSB evaluates the quality of business schools. Its accreditation or label is awarded for a period of 5 years, following several reports and audits by experts on the spot. The main criteria are the academic level of the teachers (60% of them must be teacher-researchers), the scale of the resources used and the relevance of the teaching approach. It thus guarantees good teaching, good supervision of students, and a high-quality teaching staff. Accreditation applies to all of the School’s programmes. Finally, a distinction must be made between membership of the AACSB association and obtaining accreditation, which is the result of a process and meets precise specifications.

In 2022, Clermont School of Business will renew its EFMD Bachelor accreditation for a maximum of 5 years!

EFMD Bachelor is a European accreditation issued by EFMD with more than 200 accredited programmes in 36 countries. The EFMD Bachelor accreditation assesses the quality of a programme by means of an expert report and audit. It is obtained by meeting a certain level of requirements in terms of numerous standards such as international openness, relations with companies, pedagogical support and the integration of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) issues.

As with the AACSB association, the fact that a school is a member of the EFMD Bachelor does not mean that it is accredited.

In 2023, Clermont School of Business renews its AMBA accreditation for the Master Grande Ecole and the MBA – Executive Master in Management Programmes.

In May 2023, Clermont School of Business will renew its AMBA accreditation for a maximum of 5 years! The renewal of this label of excellence, which is highly selective and held by only 2% of the world’s management and business schools, confirms the quality of the School’s programmes and teaching.

This accreditation is awarded by the Association of Masters of Business Administration, a British accreditation agency that audits postgraduate programmes and MBAs. The AMBA recognizes the excellence of the Master Grande École and its continuing education version, the MBA – Executive Master in Management programmes.

This internationally recognized organisation has been at the forefront of excellence and innovation for fifty years. AMBA works to improve the quality of education for the benefit of business schools, MBA and MGE students and graduates, employers, communities, and society.

BSIS

Created and developed by the FNEGE (Fondation Nationale pour l’Enseignement de la Gestion des Entreprises) in partnership with the EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development), the BSIS (Business School Impact Survey) aims to measure the various impacts of a management school on its environment in financial, economic and societal terms, but also in terms of innovation and image. The area selected for this study is that of the Grand Clermont, Riom, Issoire, Thiers and Vichy basins, i.e. the territory covered by the new Clermont-Vichy-Auvergne Metropolis. The conclusions of the study estimate the annual impact of the institution on the territory at 69 million euros.
