Hainan Franco-Chinese Institute: A Strategic Milestone for Clermont School of Business and BLCU

Clermont School of Business is strengthening its presence in Asia with the creation of the Hainan Franco-Chinese Institute, developed in partnership with the Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU). Located at the heart of the Lingshui Li’an International Education Innovation Pilot Zone, the new institute forms part of China’s national strategy to transform Hainan into a global hub for educational innovation and international talent development.

A Campus at the Centre of China’s Most Innovative Education Zone

Hainan now occupies a key position in China’s policy of opening-up. With the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port, the island is becoming a strategic platform for both academic and economic exchange.

The Lingshui Pilot Zone, home to the Hainan Franco-Chinese Institute, is the only area in the country fully dedicated to educational openness and international collaboration.

Its objectives are clear:

  • to strengthen cooperation between Chinese and foreign universities,
  • to attract international talent,
  • to develop new pedagogical models.

This innovative environment provides students and academic staff from Clermont School of Business with a modern international setting, supported by forward-thinking policies in mobility, research and innovation.

The Hainan Franco-Chinese Institute represents a major strategic milestone for Clermont School of Business. Developed with BLCU as part of a long-term partnership, it embodies a structured academic collaboration built on trust and co-creation. This initiative enables our students to engage directly with China’s economic dynamics—close to its markets, innovations and local ecosystems—while benefiting from a fully integrated Franco-Chinese academic framework. Through this campus, Clermont School of Business reaffirms its ambition to train talents capable of navigating complex, multicultural environments and contributing actively to the strengthening of Franco-Chinese relations.
