Awakening of Memory at Clermont SB
The awakening of memory is a fundamental commitment for Clermont School of Business. As a higher education institution, the School’s mission is not only to train responsible professionals, but also citizens who are aware of the history they inherit and the values that underpin the Republic.
Honouring the memory of Alumni who “Died for France” means recalling that the freedoms and principles we enjoy today are the result of profound commitments, sometimes at the cost of the ultimate sacrifice. It also means embedding this memory in the present, at the very heart of the School’s life, where the paths of current and future generations are shaped.
A solemn and institutional tribute
On 10 March 2026, Clermont School of Business rekindles the awakening of memory by organizing an official commemorative ceremony within the School, in Hall 1919 where the memorial stele stands, with the intention of establishing this tribute as an annual event.
This ceremony brings together representatives of the State, local authorities, civil and military officials, as well as the academic community, students, alumni and the School’s partners. It represents a collective moment of reflection, recognition and transmission, embedded in a lasting commitment to remembrance.
Through this annual tribute, Clermont School of Business affirms its determination to rekindle the awakening of memory each year, so that these names and commitments continue to resonate with every new generation of students.
