Student Engagement: A Driving Force of Campus Life at Clermont SB

At Clermont School of Business, student associations are a true space for experimentation at the heart of the student journey. Designed as a real-life learning environment, student life enables students to get involved, discover their potential, and develop key skills alongside their academic training. For several years now, this dynamic has continued to grow, driven by ambitious student initiatives and strengthened support from the School.

A vibrant student community serving engagement and personal development

Cultural, sports, community-focused, entrepreneurial, and professional associations: the diversity of projects led at Clermont SB reflects the energy and creativity of its students. These commitments foster teamwork, responsibility-taking, project management, and openness to the world—skills that are now essential in professional careers.

Student life is also a space for learning citizenship and responsible engagement. Through community actions, socially or environmentally impactful initiatives, and student representation, Clermont SB students actively commit to meaningful projects aligned with the School’s values.

ENGAGE: structuring and recognising student engagement

To fully acknowledge this richness and strengthen its impact, Clermont School of Business launched the ENGAGE programme in 2024. Its objective is clear: to recognise and structure student engagement by fully integrating it into the academic pathway. With ENGAGE, engagement is no longer purely extracurricular; it becomes a genuine lever for recognition and success. Students can give meaning to their actions while officially valuing them within their studies.

The rollout of the ENGAGE programme marked a turning point in campus life. It helped revitalise student associations by providing students with concrete resources to structure their projects and develop their skills.

Dedicated training sessions, personalised support, and spaces designed for student projects—such as the Living’Up—have been introduced to support this momentum.

The ENGAGE programme aims to recognise and structure student engagement at Clermont School of Business. It provides academic recognition for students involved in associative, civic, community-based, or representative activities through the awarding of ECTS credits (up to 3 ECTS).

Concrete and high-profile projects

The vitality of student life is also reflected in large-scale, high-visibility events. For example, once again this year, ahead of Black Friday, the Fashion Forward association—working in partnership with Galeries Lafayette—organised the second edition of its “Cocktail In Store”, an event for students and staff of Clermont School of Business.

During the evening, participants enjoyed a wide range of activities, including a photobooth, make-up and hairstyling stands, a colour analysis workshop, and many other surprises. The event also featured food and cocktails prepared by local partners, all set to a friendly musical atmosphere provided by Brass-Brand Project.

A true success, this event perfectly illustrates the richness of student life at Clermont School of Business and the commitment of its students, who turn their associative projects into concrete, unifying experiences while strengthening the School’s ties with the local business community.

This type of project fully embodies the ENGAGE spirit: concrete, supervised, professionalising, and recognised student initiatives that contribute to the attractiveness and reputation of Clermont School of Business.
