A connected start for the Business Development specialization of the work-study Bachelor

This week marks the official launch of the brand-new Business Development specialization of the work-study Bachelor, offered by Clermont School of Business from the Connected Campus in Nevers. This innovative program is aimed at students holding a Bac+2 and provides a hybrid track combining online courses, occasional gatherings in Clermont, and work-study placements in companies.

Eight students from Nevers have started their academic year in the new Business Development specialization, made available by Clermont SB and now accessible from the Connected Campus in Nevers. This unique program, designed to give them access to high-level training directly within their region, combines online courses (taken in a room equipped with dual screens to encourage interaction and exchanges) with work-study placements in local businesses, right in the heart of the local economy.

To mark the launch, students traveled to the Clermont-Ferrand campus on the first day of the semester, joining their 24 classmates who will follow the program from Clermont-Ferrand. This in-person gathering, one of four scheduled throughout the year, allowed them to discover the School, meet teaching and administrative teams, and strengthen their sense of belonging.

The day after their start, the students officially began their distance-learning courses from Nevers. Settled into their connected classroom, designed to encourage interactivity, they were able to immerse themselves in a program that combines academic rigor with professional experience within their host companies.

On Thursday, September 11, they will take part in a team-building afternoon in Nevers, organized by the BDE of the Connected Campus. On September 27 and 28, these eight students will also have the opportunity to join the Integration Weekend (WEI) organized by the Clermont SB BDE, a key moment of bonding with the entire student community.

Did you know?

Rooted in its territory, Clermont School of Business places inclusion and local development at the heart of its mission. In Nevers, the Connected Campus project perfectly embodies this ambition: offering students who are disadvantaged, whether due to disabilities, geographical distance, or family and professional constraints, the chance to access higher education under suitable conditions.

Beyond individual support, the School works hand in hand with local stakeholders and businesses to train Bac+3 business graduates, capable of strengthening the economic fabric and energizing the regional ecosystem.

Investing in these young talents means investing in the future of the region and supporting its growth momentum.
