In response to the imperative of funding a socially equitable energy transition, financial stakeholders have undergone significant shifts in their strategies.

They’ve adopted specialized financing and investment instruments that prioritize non-financial factors, commonly referred to as ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) criteria.

Our program, “Financial Engineering and Sustainable Finance” (I2FD), addresses this major shift by providing thorough training in financial engineering. We integrate ESG criteria into the process of financing, investment decision-making, and risk management, ensuring our graduates are equipped to navigate these evolving landscapes effectively.

Sustainable finance has experienced impressive growth in recent years due to a strong appetite from investors and increased regulation.

The development of climate and more broadly ESG expertise within banks, financial institutions, and large corporations is a key challenge to address environmental and social challenges. Financial actors and companies face increased recruitment needs for ESG talents and need to train employees internally on sustainability issues.

An Academic Partnership with the Institute of Sustainable Finance

This program is built in partnership with the Institute of Sustainable Finance (IFD), the Green Financial Place of Paris. Respecting the IFD’s specifications, this major has been labeled as Sustainable Finance Training by this institute (like 7 schools/universities in France).
